Research Sourcing · Pricing
Same 10 mg vial. $129 on the list. $64.50 at the till. So what was the other $64.50 paying for?
Not the compound. Not the lab report. Not the shipping. In this category most of the gap between a list price and a wholesale price pays for one thing: the paperwork that keeps you from getting the wholesale price.

Here is the number that started this.
One vial. One listing. Two prices on it, and you pay the lower one. No account. No application. No minimum. No code.
That raises an obvious question. If a seller can sell at half the list price and still test every batch, what does the full list price actually buy?
A list price is not what a vial costs. It is what a seller thinks you will pay.
Pepprzz prices every vial at 50% off list. Every day.
Every vial is 50% off list and nasal sprays are 30% off. No membership, no minimum, no code.
See the wholesale prices →1The vial is the cheap part
Research compounds are made in batches. The cost of one more vial from a batch that is already made, tested and labelled is small. That is true for every seller in the category.
So when two sellers carry the same compound at the same size, the gap between them is almost never about what is in the vial. It is about everything wrapped around it.
Same compound. Same size. The difference is the wrapping.
2What usually sits in the gap
Look at how the lowest per-vial prices are normally sold. Behind an application. Behind a login. Behind a ten-vial kit. Behind a hundred-vial minimum. Behind a code you only get after you sign up.
Every one of those hoops does a job for the seller. None of them does a job for you. The single-vial buyer pays full list. The patient bulk buyer jumps the hoops and gets the real price.
Pepprzz describes its own model in one line: we kept the price and dropped the paperwork. Their comparison is a wholesale club without the card at the door.
Gatekeeping is a pricing strategy. You pay for it either in money or in hoops.
3Check it against the market, not the list
A list price is the seller's own number, so it proves nothing on its own. The useful comparison is against what other US research suppliers actually charge for the same vial.
Pepprzz publishes exactly that. Its price book sets the wholesale price next to the median single-vial price at other US research-compound storefronts, checked by hand, sale prices counted where a sale was running.
Pepprzz prices as listed on pepprzz.com on Oct 12, 2026. US medians are from the Pepprzz price book, taken across 7 to 10 US vendors per compound and checked on Sep 25, 2026. Prices elsewhere change. The live figures are on their site.
4Cheap is only interesting if the testing stays
Half price means nothing if the vial is a mystery. This is where most low-price sellers quietly cut. Pepprzz puts it plainly: wholesale pricing changes what you pay, not what is in the vial.
Every batch goes to an independent, ISO 17025-accredited lab before it ships. HPLC purity, quantity per vial, heavy metals, endotoxin and bioburden. The certificate for your batch is published on their lab reports page, scanned as issued.
The price got cut. The testing did not. That is the whole pitch.

5The thirty second check
- Ignore the crossed-out number. It is the seller's own figure.
- Compare per milligram. A cheaper vial that holds less is not cheaper.
- Ask what you have to do to get the price. Apply, log in, buy ten? Then it is not your price.
- Find the lab report for the batch. Not a sample. The batch.
- Check the shipping line. Pepprzz ships free by 2-day delivery on orders of $250 or more, $9.95 flat under that.

Never thought about the list price being the seller's own number. Obvious once someone says it.
The price book is what sold me. A median across real vendors is a lot harder to fake than a strikethrough.
I was buying 10-vial kits to get a decent price and sitting on half of them. Single vial at the same price is the thing.
Checked the lab reports page before ordering anything. Batch and lot right there.
Same here. The per-mg number on the listing makes comparing so much quicker.
