Compound Quality · Documentation

Almost every seller shows you a lab report. Very few show you the one for the vial in your hand.

A certificate from last year's batch proves last year's batch. It looks identical to the real thing until you check one number. Here is that number, and where to find it on your vial.

Two Pepprzz pre-mixed nasal sprays See the wholesale prices on Pepprzz →
Pepprzz labels carry a QR code that opens the report for that batch.

Open almost any research compound listing and you will find a PDF. Lab logo. Purity figure. A signature. Looks official.

Now find the batch number on it. Then find the batch number on your vial. Do they match?

Often there is no batch number on the vial at all. Sometimes the PDF is two years old. Sometimes it is the same file for every size. Each of those is a brochure, not evidence.

A report that is not tied to your batch is a sample of someone else's.

Pepprzz publishes the report for the batch currently shipping.

1The recycled report

One good batch gets tested. The PDF goes on the listing. Then it stays there, batch after batch, because testing every new batch costs money.

The purity on it may well have been true. For that batch. It tells you nothing about the one that shipped to you.

2The one-size-fits-all report

Same PDF on the 5 mg, the 10 mg and the 20 mg listings. Different vials, different fills, one document.

A quantity result for a 10 mg vial cannot tell you what is in a 5 mg vial. If the report does not name the size, it is not about your vial.

3What a batch-matched report looks like

Pepprzz prints the batch and lot on the vial label. Their lab reports page lists every certificate by compound, batch and lot, and you can search it with the number off your label. A real example from their page: batch 80426-BPC10.

Or skip the typing. The QR code on the label opens your report directly.

Their words: the certificate we publish for your batch is the certificate for your batch.

Every case, every single vial: batch and lot on the label, report on the site.

4Scanned as issued, not retyped

A retyped table on a product page is the seller's transcription. A scan is the lab's own document. Pepprzz publishes the scans, as issued, so you read the lab's numbers rather than theirs.

No recycled PDFs. No mystery vials.

5The sixty second check

  • Find the batch number on the vial. No number, no match possible.
  • Find the same number on the report. Not a similar one. The same one.
  • Check the size on the report. 10 mg report for a 10 mg vial.
  • Check the test date. Recent, and before your batch shipped.
  • Check it is a scan from the lab. Lab name, accreditation, signature.

Match the report to the vial. Then compare the price.

Batch-matched certificates from an ISO 17025 lab, every vial 50% off list, same day shipping on orders before 2pm ET.

Checked a report from another supplier after reading this. The test date was 2024. Did not even notice before.

Scanned the QR on my vial and it went straight to the batch. That is how it should work.

The difference between a scan and a retyped table is a good point. Never thought about who did the typing.

Searching by lot number took about ten seconds.
